Negotiations Update!

Sisters and Brothers ,

Just a short notification in regards to some questions and concerns that have been brought forward in regards to the union serving the employer 10 days notice.

As stated this is part of the process in regards to bargaining when an impasse is reached between the two parties. It does not necessarily mean that the union will be going on strike after the 10 days has expired and at this point we are in the process of rescheduling talks to continue bargaining with the employer.

We have since received dates; we are scheduled to resume negotiations on January 11,2022.

As the contract is essentially cancelled after the 10 days we continue to work under an evergreen and the two parties continue to honour the expired contract.

If there is a need to serve the 72 hour strike notice or take a strike vote we will notify everyone.

We will continue to update the negotiation news on this page and also the Unifor 603 website.

Sorry for any angst this may have caused ,

In solidarity
