Brothers and Sisters,
It is an honour to stand elected as the president of Unifor Bill Hickey Local 603. The local has stood tall for over 50 years and has played an integral role in the community. I have been fortunate to have been a part of this strong united union for 30 years. The leaders who came before me fought to uphold better working conditions and other benefits through the collective agreement . As in the past our local will once again rise to the challenge and will continue to do so as we navigate into the future . The local is also committed to succession training and the focus is on the involvement of many new employees who are the locals future leaders. I look forward to working with the executive and the committees to ensure that the membership has some longevity and security going forward.
