By now I am sure you will have all heard the news the Union served the 10 days notice to cancel the Collective Agreement on Friday, November 12, 2021. This is part of the process given we were at an impasse with the employer. The hope would be that we resume the negotiations and agree on the terms of a new Collective Agreement. If the next rounds of talks are unsuccessful, we would then be in a position to take a strike vote and serve the 72 hours if necessary If the talks resume after the 10 days notice has expired the union and the employer will continue to operate under the old Collective Agreement until we ratify the new Agreement. We are currently waiting for both parties to agree on scheduling so that we can return to the table and will inform you of any news as it becomes available.
